The IFSC World Championships ended a couple weeks ago and the results of the event attendance are in. Organizers estimate at least 10,000 spectators attended the finals on Saturday and Sunday, and on each of those days more than 23,000 people connected to the live stream to watch on-line.
Also to show a great sense of diversity were the recordbreaking number of attending athletes from 56 different countries, with over 700 climbers in all disciplines. These are good steps to show the 2020 Olympic Committee that climbing is a growing sport around the world which will announce their decision in 2013 if sport climbing will be added as an Olympic event.
